August is, by far, the hottest month of the year in DC. The culmination of sticky days and muggy afternoons makes it somewhat difficult to be motivated to dress in anything that isn’t extremely easy and comfortable. So when I agreed to meet up with friends at my favorite Tuesday trivia place, Acre 121, I slipped out of the wrap dress I’d been sweating in all day and opted for something with a little more playful ease. I just adore these port wine colored chinos that I snagged from J. Crew’s sale. I also have the 3′ version which you saw here, but the extra inch really makes a big difference in comfort. I also LOVE my huge purse that I grabbed from Express. It holds the world, is extremely affordable, and goes with everything in my closet – the perfect running errands bag for when I want a break from old faithful.
