Growing up, my dad always made snide comments whenever he saw someone pairing beige and blue. In fact, he’d literally just repeat, “beige and blue”, “beige and blue” over and over or simply call it “bluge” {it was pretty hilarious}. For some reason or another, the combination of these two colors has gone hand-in-hand with a preppy vibe. I used to agree but as I’ve aged, I quite like the odd couple marriage. It’s also a great way to subtly mix colors that don’t exactly match but just naturally blend together.

In my first installment of Crave vs. Save, I thought I’d feature an item I’ve been craving for quite some time (try over a year) ever since I saw one of my best friends sporting this gorgeous Balenciaga tote. The one above is the medium sized option, which I think is perfect for a classy and timeless addition for my office looks. I also love the bright varieties that Tory Burch offers with her Robinson Spectator Middy Satchel – a great size for both work and play, I have my eye on the red one.
Which one do you crave???
The Balenciaga Tube Baltique or the Tory Burch Robinson Spectator Middy Satchel?

As you have probably guessed, I have quite a few items in my closet. One of my friends even calls me a clothes/purse/shoe/jewelry hoarder. However, one thing about me is I will always go back to something I’ve had in my closet for ages and think of a new way to wear it. Case in point, this blouse; I’ve had it for forever but haven’t worn it in probably two years. It’s one of those pieces that has found its way to the chopping block a few times only to somehow find its way back into my closet, amongst its fellow troops. I have come to realize I have quite a few items like this that, for some reason or another, I just can’t let go of. I actually love it with these pants and am quite happy I didn’t get rid of it – it’s one of those fun tops that can still be worn in the office. Do you guys have any items like this?

Sometimes the best color is the same color.
I’m really loving all things gray right now and the many hues this color comes in and blends with.
